Californian Pop-Up
“WHITE CLOUD” is a varietal name for the Californian Matilija tree poppy and is historically from Mexico and California.
There is a long history about theses flowers beginning in 1778, named by James Cook on the island of Hawaii.
The first flowering in Europe was at the Botanic Gardens, Glasnevin, Dublin in 1876.
Today they grow in many gardens around the world but here are shown with the Monarch butterfly , Golden pheasant, and others who create their own kingdom.
